B2B SaaS ads in India
Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, with almost nothing else in search. Google holds 96.63% of search in India and Bing 1.92%, according to StatCounter for September 2026, so Microsoft Ads adds little. Clicks are cheap on one directional measure: 77% below the US average. Deals look slower. Published ranges put Indian buying committees at 9 to 15 people and sales cycles 22% to 38% longer than in the US.
Google Ads first, LinkedIn Ads second. Microsoft Ads adds little, with Bing at 1.92% of search.
Google 96.63%, Bing 1.92%, DuckDuckGo 0.64%, Yahoo 0.57% (September 2026).
Directional only. Estimated search clicks run 77% below the US average. No B2B SaaS benchmark was found.
Reading cheap clicks as cheap pipeline. Deals involve 9 to 15 people on published ranges.
Which ad channels work best for B2B SaaS in India?
Google Ads for search and LinkedIn Ads for reaching named roles. No study ranks channels for B2B SaaS in India, so this order follows from where buyers search and which platforms reach them.
| Channel | Role in India | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Google Ads | First channel wherever buyers search for the category | Google has 96.63% of search |
| LinkedIn Ads | Second, for larger contracts and named accounts | LinkedIn counts more than 410 million members in Asia Pacific and does not break out India |
| Microsoft Ads | Low priority | Bing has 1.92% of search |
| ChatGPT ads | Not named so far | India is not named in the OpenAI announcements read for this page |
| Meta Ads | Retargeting, as on the channel page | No regional evidence was found |
The search picture is simpler than in any other region on this site. In North America roughly one search in ten runs on Bing. In India it is roughly one in fifty, which leaves a second search platform little volume to offer.
What do B2B SaaS ads cost in India?
Less per click, on one directional measure, and nothing sourced is known beyond that. WordStream's country comparison puts India's estimated search click price 77% below the US average.
That comparison needs four caveats. It covers all industries and not B2B SaaS. It uses Google Keyword Planner estimates and not advertiser spend. It is built on English keywords. And the page gives no collection date.
| Question | What the sources say |
|---|---|
| Is there a B2B SaaS cost per click benchmark for India? | None with a stated sample was found |
| Is there a cost per lead or cost per SQL benchmark for India? | None was found |
| Is there a LinkedIn figure for India? | No. ZenABM lists $80 to $120 per lead for APAC as a whole, with no stated basis |
| Do the US-weighted benchmarks apply? | As a reference only. The main Google Ads audit is 88% US accounts |
SQL stands for sales-qualified lead. The practical point is that a cheap click settles nothing. Published cost per SQL targets are set against contract value, starting at $400 to $1,000 for contracts of $5K to $15K a year. A product priced lower for the Indian market needs its own sum, which is covered on the budget and channel mix page.
How do Indian buyers differ?
Deals involve more people, more procurement and more time, on published ranges. B2B SaaS Buying Committee Size Benchmarks 2026 (GrowthSpree) gives India the largest committees of any region it lists.
| Region | Stakeholders in a deal | Deals with procurement involved | Sales cycle against the US |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States | 6 to 11 | 62% to 78% | Baseline |
| APAC (Japan, Singapore, Australia) | 8 to 14 | 82% to 92% | 18% to 32% longer |
| India | 9 to 15 | 85% to 94% | 22% to 38% longer |
The publication states no sample or method for this table, so these are published ranges and not study findings. It describes Indian buying as collective and cost-focused.
Two things follow for ads. More stakeholders means more people to reach at each account, which is the job LinkedIn does and search does not. And a longer cycle strains tracking. The same publisher's Google Ads audit cites a median sales cycle of 84 days, in a sample that is 88% US accounts. Adding 22% to 38% gives about 102 to 116 days. That is arithmetic across two publications and not a measured Indian figure.
Google accepts an imported conversion up to 90 days after the click with a click ID, or 63 days with contact data. A deal that closes after those limits cannot be imported at all, so the qualified-lead stage has to carry the signal. The loop is on the conversion tracking and attribution page.
How should campaigns be set up for India?
Tightly, because low click prices make loose targeting easy to overlook. Five steps cover the essentials.
- Change the location option to "Presence." Google Ads Help calls "Presence or interest" the "default and recommended option." It also reaches people who have "shown interest in" a location without being there.
- Decide on language. Google Ads Help says it uses "search term language, the user's language settings, and preferences" to decide which language a searcher knows. English keywords, ads and pages suit buyers who search in English.
- Add negative keywords on the first day. In the 2026 Google Ads waste audit, broad match without negative keywords was the largest single cause of waste, at 31%.
- Make a qualified stage the conversion. In the same audit, 78% of form fills never became an SQL.
- Qualify on the form. A question on company size or role costs volume and saves sales time.
Both audit figures come from a sample that is 88% US accounts. They are the best available guide to what goes wrong, not a measurement of Indian accounts.
What should an Indian SaaS company selling abroad do differently?
Plan for the buyer's region, not its own. An Indian company selling to the US or Europe is running a US or European campaign, and the pages for North America and Europe apply.
Three checks matter most.
- Keep local clicks out. Target the buyer's country with the location option set to "Presence," and exclude the countries that are not served. In the 2026 waste audit, 23% of clicks came from regions the advertiser did not serve.
- Budget at the buyer's prices. The published medians of $8.50 to $14.00 a click and $800 to $2,500 per SQL state no country split, and the audit from the same publisher is 88% US accounts. India's lower click prices do not apply to a US audience.
- Cover the buyer's working day. A lead that waits overnight for a reply is a slower lead, so follow-up has to be planned across time zones.
How should results be judged in India?
On cost per SQL against the value of a contract, over more than one quarter. Three habits keep the reading honest.
- Do not judge on cheap leads. In a 2026 study of 1,412 ad variants, cost per lead correlated with pipeline at 0.23 and cost per SQL at 0.71.
- Give deals time. On the published ranges above, an Indian deal can run past a single quarter.
- Compare with the account's own history, since no Indian benchmark exists to compare with.
The study is covered in does CTR predict pipeline in B2B SaaS ads.
What are the limits of this data?
Four limits apply to this page.
- No Indian B2B SaaS benchmark was found. The one cost figure is an undated, all-industry estimate.
- The buying committee ranges have no stated sample.
- The audit figures are 88% US accounts. They show likely causes of waste, not Indian results.
- StatCounter measures page views across all devices and all kinds of search.
Frequently asked questions
Is Microsoft Ads worth running in India?
It is a low priority. Bing holds 1.92% of search in India, according to StatCounter for September 2026, against 9.84% in North America. A second search platform brings setup and tracking work, and in India there is little search volume to justify it.
Are Google Ads cheaper in India than in the US?
Per click, on one directional measure, yes. WordStream's country comparison puts India's estimated search click price 77% below the US average. That covers all industries and is undated. No source shows whether cost per sales-qualified lead is lower too.
Do ChatGPT ads run in India?
India is not named in the OpenAI announcements read for this page. Those name the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, South Korea and 31 European countries. OpenAI's own pages carry the current list, which grew during 2026.
Do LinkedIn Ads work for B2B SaaS in India?
No India-specific study was found. The same conditions apply as elsewhere: a contract large enough to carry the cost of a qualified lead, and an audience controlled with exclusions. Published ranges put Indian deals at 9 to 15 stakeholders, which favors a channel that reaches several roles.
How long is the B2B SaaS sales cycle in India?
Published 2026 ranges put it 22% to 38% longer than in the US, without stating a sample. Applied to an 84-day median from a mostly US audit, that is about 102 to 116 days. The second figure is arithmetic, not a measurement.
